Hired as Second Officer in the last 3 weeks of an 11 month extensive refit.
On the passage out of Hamburg we stopped in Guernsey for fuel, then Dartmouth to pick up new tenders and then continued to Malaga to pick up the owner for a 3 day photoshoot.
During these few days we readied the ship from yard-mode to be all ready for photoshoot with owner onboard. After photoshoot we went to Monaco Yacht Show, after which we had a 10 day owner’s trip.
Highlighted roles on Carinthia VII
Day and night watches, anchoring and mooring operations. Responsible for bridge equipment and publications, GMDSS, passage planning, ISM/ISPS etc.
Navigation Officer
Responsible for SOPEP inventory, maintenance and planning, as well as garbage management
Environmental
Officer
All systems onboard was converted into commercial, with following flag state survey. We reached compliance under extreme time pressure.

Working closely with Bosun, leading the 7 deckhands in daily operations, scheduled maintenance, training, budgeting etc., -

Since the extensive refit, we hurriedly and successfully prepared the yacht for the first ever trip with the new owner.

Responsible for training, upkeeping and maintenance of Life Saving Appliances and Fire Fighting Equipment
LSA & FFE
I joined in the last few weeks with enormous time pressure to finish everything in time for photoshoot, Monaco Yacht Show and Owner's trip.
11 Month Refit
Delegation, scheduling, operation, royal surveillance and maintenance.
Watersports
In charge of medical first aid, updating, provisioning and maintaining the onboard lasarette, working with MSOS.

Responsible for planning and leading of Safety Meetings, SSP updates, development of new SOP's, safety drills etc.
